Surveys

Since its founding, PEI has periodically conducted industry and member surveys on a variety of subjects. These surveys are generally prompted by members' inquiries and the results are tabulated and published to inform the industry.


 

CROSS-INDUSTRY COMPENSATION  AND BENEFITS SURVEY

PEI partnered with Industry Insights and 20 other distributor-based associations to do the 2018 Cross-Industry Compensation & Benefits Survey. The survey provides compensation benchmarking data designed to help business owners make more informed decisions about compensation and benefit packages.

The 2018 Cross-Industry Compensation & Benefits Survey represents the most complete, accurate and up-to-date compensation and benefits data available. In addition to data on recruiting and retention; health care costs/trends; retirement benefits; vacations/PTO and holidays; sick and other leave; and sales practicess, theis report contains compensation-related statistices for common job titles in the industry. These job titles iclude positions in the following categories:

  • Executive level
  • General and administrative
  • Sales and marketing
  • Operations/warehouse
  • Information technology.

To ensure the confidential, secure handling of data, the survey was conducted by an independent research firm, Industry Insights. Industry Insights has more than 35 years of experience in conducting compensation surveys. The company was carefully vetted by the Association Education Alliance (AEA), of which PEI is a member.
