Event Registrations & Liability Waiver

Event cancellations must be submitted via email to registrations@pei.org at least 10 business days before the event start date. After that date, the full amount of the registration fee will be forfeited. All cancellations will be assessed a $25 administrative fee. Cancellation of events without a registration fee will not be assessed the $25 administrative fee. Transfer of registration to another person within your company may be made at any time without penalty.

As a condition of my participation in a PEI meeting or event, I hereby waive and release any claim I may have against PEI and its officers, directors, employees or agents, or against the presenters or facilitators, and release these parties from and against any and all liability for damage, illness or injury that may arise from my participation or attendance at the event. I acknowledge that participation and attendance in meetings and events and activities bring some risk, especially during a global pandemic, and I do hereby assume responsibility for my own well-being. This waiver and release also covers my guest’s participation or attendance.

Event Code of Conduct

PEI is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all meeting participants. All participants, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, sponsors, PEI staff members, vendors, and all others are expected to abide by this Event Code of Conduct.

As a meeting attendee, you agree to refrain from the following:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
  • Verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, PEI staff member, vendor, or other meeting guest. Examples of  verbal abuse include, but are not limited to, verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, national origin, inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces or in presentations, or threatening or stalking any attendee, speaker, volunteer, sponsors, PEI staff member, vendor, or other meeting guest.
  • Disruption of presentations during sessions or at other events organized by PEI throughout the meeting. All participants must comply with the instructions of the moderator and any PEI event staff.

Presentations, postings, and messages should not contain promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services. PEI reserves the right to remove such messages and potentially ban sources of those solicitations.

Participants should not copy or take screen shots of Q&A or any chat room activity that takes place in the virtual space.

PEI reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the meeting without warning or refund, in response to any incident of unacceptable behavior, and PEI reserves the right to prohibit attendance at any future meeting, virtually or in person.

Event Photography Release

When you register for and enter a PEI event, you enter an area where photography, audio and video recordings may occur. By entering the event, you agree to allow PEI and its official and staff photographers to photograph you in the context of the event. Footage captured by the official and staff photographers may be used in future print and electronic promotional and archival materials with no payment or royalty to the individuals photographed.
