Shields, Harper & Co., a supplier of energy delivery systems and convenience store equipment, promoted Niazi “Z” Alzouhbi to president, the company announced.
Alzouhbi succeeds Dave Sarginson, who retired in March after 41 years with the company. Sarginson will remain on the board of directors.
In his new role, Alzouhbi will lead the organization in an evolving marketplace. Having already added electric vehicle charger and C-store product lines, the company plans to continue initiatives that will improve the experiences of its customers, partners and associates.
Alzouhbi will continue to develop the sales, marketing and operations channels as the company expands product and customer engagement offerings. He will work closely with CEO Bart Scowley and Chief Financial Officer Greg Brown.
“Implementing new initiatives around technology and service will make us easier to do business with and increase our advantage as best in class for our industry,” Alzouhbi said.
For more than 100 years Shields, Harper & Co. has operated as a distributor of energy delivery systems for retail and commercial fueling applications. The company operates eight locations throughout the western U.S., each of which is fully stocked with equipment from the industry’s preferred manufacturers.
