Terri Roberts, compliance program manager at Oklahoma Environmental Services (OES), won the first Oklahoma Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Store Association (OPMCA) Employee of the Year award, OES announced.
She received a plaque and $500.
OPMCA established the award to honor and draw attention to an exceptional employee among its members who excels in his or her position and has exceptional customer service and loyalty.
Roberts has served as OPMCA Regulatory Committee chair and Legislative Committee chair. She also serves in the industry watchdog group Environmental Federation of Oklahoma.
“She is passionate about representing our clients and their industry. She’s the real deal,” said Deanna Atkinson, president of OES. “As a former small business owner and compliance officer for the state, Terri has a unique perspective. She understands the need for common sense solutions while maintaining regulatory compliance. There’s no one better to have in your corner than Terri.”
Roberts has more than 35 years of experience in the petroleum marketing industry throughout Texas and Oklahoma. She has worked more than six years as the compliance program manager at OES. The department oversees 700 underground fuel tanks for statistical inventory reconciliation (SIR), compliance audits and vapor or groundwater monitoring.
Roberts also is a licensed underground storage tank remover. She frequently performs tank removals, environmental site assessments and compliance audits.
