PETRO SERVICE ACQUIRES JA ROBINSON, ESP

Petro Service Ltd. acquired J.A. Robinson Pump Service Ltd. and ESP Testing and Tank Cleaning Inc. of Winnipeg, Manitoba, the company announced.

J.A. Robinson Pump Service Ltd. will continue to serve its customers as a wholly owned subsidiary of Petro Service Ltd.

“This is exciting news for both companies,” said Kevin Hocquard, vice president and general manager of Petro Service Ltd. “J.A. Robinson Pump Service Ltd. and Petro Service Ltd. are strong regional companies with long histories of providing consistent, high-quality service. We welcome all the new employees to our team and look forward to offering our combined strengths to our customers. Furthermore, the expansion of our Gilbarco Veeder-Root distribution geography to include Manitoba and parts of northwestern Ontario will provide an added benefit to our customers.”

Vic Robinson will remain with the organization in the role of business development – Western Canada.

“J. A. Robinson Pump was founded by my father, James Arthur and mother, Peggie in 1958,” Robison said. “I am pleased to have run this great company for 40 years. I look forward to working with Petro Service on our exciting future together.”

Fred Fitzgerald will remain as general manager of the business.

Petro Service Ltd. began in 1985 as a four-person business unit of Commercial Equipment Ltd. and has grown to be the premier provider of service, distribution, installation and construction in the petroleum and fluid handling industry with more than 80 people. Located in Saint John, New Brunswick, the company has operations throughout Eastern Canada.
