FJ FUTRELLE RETIRES FROM MECO AUGUSTA

FJ “Jeff” Futrelle III retired Dec. 1 from his role as owner and president of Meco Inc. of Augusta/Greenville, the company announced.

The move prompted other leadership changes at the company, including naming William “Brad” Burke CEO and co-owner and Franklin Futrelle IV chief operating officer and co-owner.

Burke joined Meco Inc. of Augusta/Greenville as sales manager in 2014 after having worked at Mike Long & Associates for four years as a manufacturer’s representative covering Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and the Florida Panhandle.

Jeff Futrelle’s son, Franklin Futrelle IV has worked with the company on and off for many years. After pursuing a racing career, he returned to Meco as service manager in October 2016. He also worked in installation and sales for many years.

Futrelle III will remain a member of the board of directors. He said he plans to spend time with his grandchildren, travel and golf.
