Theodore “Ted” Reinke died April 29, 2019. He was 88.
The Korean War veteran and Lehigh University graduate worked more than 40 years in the petroleum equipment industry. Reinke started working at The Wayne Pump Co. in 1957. He left as national sales manager in 1970 to found his first rep agency, T. Reinke Associates. In 1976, he and his son Tom co-founded TR2 Corp., where he served as president until his retirement in 1997.
Reinke first attended the PEI Convention in 1959 when it was called the National Association of Oil Equipment Jobbers. He attended annually until 2016.
His career took him from Salisbury, Maryland, to Ridgewood, New Jersey, and finally to Wayland, Massachusetts. Reinke split his retirement between Stuart, Florida, and Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Demetria.
Loving survivors include: three sons, Thomas (Diane), Michael and Jason (Alison); seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
