Stephen A. Purpora, 54, died Feb. 2, 2019.
Purpora was born Sept. 20, 1964, in Cook Country, Illinois, to Susan and William Purpora. He graduated from Whitefish Bay High School, attended Westminster College in Missouri on a baseball scholarship and went on to University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He worked at the family’s petroleum businesses, Protanic Inc. and Purpora Engineering, and became president in 2002.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, the former Michelle Koller; three daughters, Ashley Purpora, Sydney Purpora and Samantha Scofield and her husband, Zane; a brother, Ross Purpora; and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8 at Alliance Bible Church, 13939 N. Cedarburg Road in Mequon, Wisconsin. The Rev. Roger Erickson will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. at Alliance Bible Church.
