Richard “Dick” George Todd died Sept. 1, 2018, at the age of 78. (Read full obituary here.)
He was born Sept. 7, 1939, to Charlotte (Carnahan) and Tolbert Jay Todd. The native of Drumright, Oklahoma, spent much of his life in New Orleans after meeting his wife at Camp Leroy while serving in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Le Blanc & Theriot Equipment Co., where he worked for many years as president. He was a member of the Ludovicum Knights of Columbus, the Jefferson Community Band and the American Legion Post 175 Band.
Survivors include: his wife of 57 years, Will Ell Nebel Todd; two daughters, Katherine Todd Monjure (David) and Will Ell “Lelly” Todd Childress (Mark); six grandchildren; a brother, Robert Dean Todd; a sister-in-law, Susan Nebel Nielsen; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
