Crompco, an underground storage tank (UST) compliance testing and management company, recently hired Sandy Carl as manager of environmental compliance services.
Carl, a former Sunoco performance and compliance specialist, brings more than 35 years of retail fuel experience to the new Crompco role. She will help Crompco customers understand and comply with new and upcoming UST and air quality regulations.
“I’m thrilled to join Crompco and excited about the company’s commitment to support customers in navigating the ever-changing and increasing regulatory demands,” Carl said. “I look forward to working with the compliance management team and building relationships with our customers.”
Carl joins Crompco from a 35-year tenure at Sunoco. In her most recent position, Carl was responsible for managing site inspections and resolving compliance violations at some 1,300 Sunoco-owned and -operated service stations across 12 states. At Crompco, Carl will tap into her extensive expertise as she supports customers across the U.S. in the management of environmental and regulatory compliance.
Compliance with local, state and federal UST and air quality regulations requires constant vigilance. Crompco works closely with its customers to submit UST registrations and air permits, manage equipment testing schedules, verify and submit test results, and provide state-specific training and guidance.
“In today’s rapidly changing regulatory environment, it’s more important than ever to guide our clients through new regulations and help them ensure compliance so they are not subject to undetected leak and equipment malfunctions, costly fines, penalties and environmental contamination,” said Bob Dee, president of Crompco. “Crompco customers will directly benefit from Carl’s 35 years of experience in the trenches of UST inspections and compliance at Sunoco.”
