Chester “Chet” M. Purdy died Jan. 27, 2018, at his home in Vero Beach, Florida, with his daughters Diane and Linda at his side. He was 89.

Purdy worked in the petroleum equipment industry from manufacturing to distribution, although he is remembered as a salesman.
