PEI Connect: List of Mentors

Much of the learning that contributes to a person’s success happens not through books, but through real-world experience, typically a trial and error process. Choosing to become a mentee and learning from someone else's experiences has the potential to create significant relationships that can shape your future, improve your understanding of the industry and just be fun! Even industry veterans can benefit.

Listed below are all the mentors who have volunteered to participate in PEI Connect. Each mentor has provided the information for their profile, including areas of specialties, and PEI has posted their unaltered online profiles.

If a particular mentor is accepting applications, a link will appear below his or her profile. You will be prompted for your PEI Member login and directed to the application form. If no link is present, the mentor is not currently accepting new applications.

Please only submit your application for one mentor.

Tom McGee

PMP Corporation primarily remanufactures devices used in fueling dispensers and with POS systems. I have a chemical engineering degree and worked for Exxon Research and Engineering for three years. Then, I went back full time to college and obtained a MBA. I joined PMP as Vice President with primary responsibilities in marketing and operations. We grew from a 12 employee firm to as high as 120 employees. We went through some good times and poor times due to industry and general economic conditions. We now have 62 employees with an average tenure of 15 years. Over time I purchased an ownership interest in the company and upon the death of the founder, I purchased the remaining ownership. I was President for 22 years overseeing sales, plant operations, finance, and R&D. The Presidency and majority ownership has been transferred to my son. My present title is CFO and I work part time mainly doing special projects reporting to the President.
