I am soliciting opinions of which unit is better for fuel system monitoring (including ELLD) and reporting. Also, which ones connect to the internet (for downloading site info)?

Thanks,

i like the reporting options in the incon. other then that i don't see a ton of difference in quality or function. other then cost.

You can do whatever you want. It is your Equipment. Just don't do it at 3:00 on Friday afternoon when i am on-call

The initial set-up of the incon on a full blown system is a real time consuming pain in the butt. Our incon has ELLD, vacuum and TLMs along with all the liquid and hydrostatic sensors and TPI and we haven't had any issues with it yet.

This is my signature. There are others like it but this one is mine.

Check around your area and see what is the most prevalent. If there are a lot of Incon's don't worry about it. In our area there are only a few Incon's and the only person that knows how to work on them went out of business. You can't really go wrong with Veeder Root.

New incon TS550 EVO and regular TS550 are nice monitors and what we sell exclusively and no we are not a Franklin distributor. Any tech can go online to Franklin tech lab and get certified for free, the only reason people don't work on them in some areas is that vedder root is all they know. Broaden your knowledge base and offer your customer the option comparing apples to apples and price point and Franklin will win hands down. And as far as I'm concerned you program incon with your laptop much easier than the 450 and the sites have the ability to save their own sites and backup and restore almost immediately.

I'm very familiar with VR TLS 350's but the more I work with the Incon TS5000 system the more I like it. I think on larger sites the Incon system can be less expensive for hardware just because the Incon modules can handle more inputs than VR so you might not have to buy as many, but what I really like about it is how easy it is to connect to and use the software. Seems like it's just more intuitive than VR stuff. Incon has something similar to CSLD for lines, not sure if the TLS 450 does that. I've gotten really good tech support from both companies too. Other than those things, once you get either of them set up the way you want, you shouldn't have to do too much with them. They'll just sit on the wall and do their job and you can connect via internet and get your reports or whatever.

I like what pumpguy55 said. You'll be doing your customer a favor by installing whatever brand is prevalent in their area. It'll be much easier for them to get good service down the road.

While what 405pumptech1 said might be true about anyone being able to get certified on the Incon for free, not many actually do, at least in my areas.
