I have been waiting for tech to come onsite and take care of this. However, there is no word on when they will show up next week. I am losing money by the minute due to not having "Pay at Pump."
Can someone help me with this integration? I would like to try it myself this weekend.
Questions I have:
1) What version of Gemstall I need? 2) Would 883325-004 work with new software or I need a different one? Why or why not? 3) Windows 7 with 32 bit or 64 bit on my laptop? 4) any step by step direction would be help full.
I would load BuyPak 5.04.20, Keypad won't work with debit, encryption is different with each network, but will work with Credit. Windows 7 32 bit, upgrade to Windows 7 Pro 32 bit. You will need a certified tech to load the software on the Ruby. Did First Data send you the micronode? Ruby will have to be registered. You will need the parameters from First Data. You will need a Internet connection for the Micronode. And some other equipment. The latest version of Firmware in the EC (controller for the DL disps) be it a Hyperpib or Pib/CPU bd.
I plan to authorized outside keypad for Credit only. I have the micronode and parameters from First Data, I have Verizon Fios internet. Ruby is already registered, Why again? I have Hyperpib.
I am hoping the tech would be sent out tomorrow. So far a whole week has gone by and no respond. Unfortunate is that they are the only one in the area certified to do First Data integration. Only if I knew this before selecting First Data.
You dont need a tech certified for First Data integration. There is no such certification.
You just a need a VeriFone authorized service company to send a certified (Verifone) tech to load the new Ruby software. That's why the Ruby has to be re-registered, the software for First Data (Buypak) is totally different than your Shell software (Shopak). A good comparison would be to think of your Internet connection - it would be like trying to connect to Verizon using AT&T's connection software/information. Totally different networks.
You would be in the same boat whether you went with First Data or anybody else - you just need a Ruby tech - they aren't certified on First Data connections/software specifically.
