OK, Ladies and Gentleman, I've hit a brick wall on this one.
Got a site that took a indirect hit last week..the Wayne site controller companion board blew a transistor and I replaced that. the Ruby only controller will not initialize fuel or change prices.
I programmed up the site controller with a 2400 console, and now, you can set the pumps with the Ruby, but still no price change or init.
have not changed the hyperpib because they got rare, and the console still talks to pumps, but thats the only thing I haven't changed..any opinions about this? |

We used the bottom port on a Ruby site one time, while connected to the bottom port we could not change fuel prices (I think this is because you would not want both POS systems to have this ability), but the site was back up and running. We returned the next day with a new HyperPIB and all was ok. |

moved to bottom port..problem solved..but it was in the second port originally. did have to short c19 for a good reload. thanks for the help. |

"HyperPIB boards" that "work" in the bottom connector and not the "second" connector are usually old Wayne Plus III WPPC boards that someone replaced the EPROMs from WPPC to HyperPIB. The "second" port was not fully configured (jumpers and a couple of other added circuits) on the old WPPC because there was no need for a "second" port with WP3. The HyperPIB board is the same board as the old WPPC (with the jumper and circuit modifications) with the "second" port enabled to allow two differnt POS systems to "drive" the same set of pumps.
All that said Peggy's suggestion to move to bottom port may well solve your problem for now. |

Also check you ec power supply. If you need the pin outs for the power supply connector email me. |

Kperlow. I replaced the board..never seen a companion board get blown out..seen them stop working, but with no visual damage like this one.

well, i'll return with some boards when i get them and try the bottom plug..thanks for all the advise..i'll let ya's know. |

Agreed - know issue when the HyperPib is plugged into the second from the bottom port. All works fine, but you would be unable to change fuel prices. We do this in a pinch during storm season to get site fueling and return later to replace the HyperPib. |

Peggy, the cable is plugged in at the second from bottom port.. never seen it on the bottom port, and i have reset controller so many times, the keys were bleeding.. |

I'm with Peggy. Make sure EC sideplate cable is plugged into bottom J1 plug on HyperPib. |

Is the cable in the EC on the bottom connector of the HyperPib? Have you tried [FUEL MANAGER] 14. Reset Controller after changing prices? |
