Posted - 04/23/2012 : 22:24:56 One of the cashiers had a problem over the weekend. No one is 100% sure what happened but it sounds like he tried repeatedly to prepay a pump, or both sides of the same pump, unsuccessfully. He either panicked or had some other problems at the same time and decided to hit the E-stop inside to "reset everything". Once things came back up, he couldn't prepay or preauth either side of the pump. When the manager came in this morning he cleared a couple sales/credits off each side and thought it was all ok, but it turns out that even though the pump status is IDLE on the Ruby and a prepay now goes through, they can't pump the prepay. The dispenser doesn't recognize that the handle is lifted, either side. The grade select LED's and PPU's do not flash. I power cycled the pump, checked blend ratios & pump ID's to make sure the pump didn't lose programming, no dice. I tried to put it in standalone to see if it would work but was unsire even if it actually went into standalone as it still wouldn't let me select a grade or pump. I vaguely remember an option to force a 4 decimal point volume display as an indicator that the the pump is set to standalone but I couldn;t remember exactly how to set that. I pulled grade select cables from one side at a time and tested, also swapped ISB's with another pump, still no change. I'm not primarily a Wayne tech, but unless I'm missing something obvious, it's beginning to point more towards an iGem problem, right? Am I missing something obvious?? |

Posted - 06/02/2012 : 09:51:46 the easiest thing to do is unplug handle switch and take a paper clip and short the pins of the wire harness that go back to isb. if it beeps its the magnet. if it dont isb, wire harness or igem. |

Posted - 06/02/2012 : 08:59:36 If you have either a magnetic pick up tool for fishing the wrench your dropped out of the containment or an old tokheim magnetic tag just lay that where the nozzle flap sits when the nozzle is out of the cradle and see if it blinks and beeps. That will tell you instantly if the magnet is gone. I have gotten lucky a few times and found them on the ground in front of the pump. |

You tried a different ISB.My bad. You probably do have a bad I-gem, then |
