HOW CAN I PURCHASE MULTIPLE TESTS?2022-06-27T19:02:47+00:00

When you purchase access codes you can specify a quantity. Then you will have that many uses for that particular quiz.

If you will need a large number of test consider the annual subscription option. This provides an access code with unlimited number of uses for all the online tests. 

HOW DO I GET MY TEST CERTIFICATE?2022-06-27T19:03:10+00:00

After taking an online test you will be presented with your results page. This includes your detailed results, your score, correct responses and a link to your certificate. Certificates or results must be printed at this time. If you navigate away from this page you will no longer have access to these results.

DO YOU SELL DIGITAL BOOKS?2022-06-27T19:09:22+00:00

Yes, we offer PDF versions of the Recommended Practices and Service Technician Training manuals through our partners at Techstreet.

These digital versions use an Adobe Acrobat plugin called FileOpen. Once purchased you will download your document from Techstreet and must provide your login credentials (from your Techstreet account, not your PEI credentials). Then you will be able to print up to two copies and open the file on two different devices. Internet access is required the first time you open the book, after tht Internet access is not required.

WHAT IF I CAN’T TAKE MY ONLINE TEST?2022-06-27T20:28:19+00:00

After purchasing an online test you will receive an order confirmation. The access code(s) for test purchases are shown there. If you don’t see the email check you spam or Junk Mail folders.

The access code must entered exactly as shown. We recommend you copy/paste the code to be certain it’s correct.

Usually access codes are available for use immediately. Sometimes the access code can take up to 30 minutes to validate in the quiz access system. If you are having trouble using an access code and the order was placed more than hour ago please contact us. Include the order number if possible.

DOES PEI OFFER A MEMBERSHIP CERTIFICATE?2022-06-27T19:10:11+00:00

Membership Certificates for current PEI member companies are available to download/print from their Company Profile. This page is restricted to official representatives and employees assigned the Company Manager or Web Administrator role.

Members with a mailing address in the US or Canada can receive a paper copy by checking this option when editing their Company Profile. Members outside the US or Canada will not be mailed, and should arrange a courier service, such as DHL, FedEx, etc. to pick up from PEI for delivery.

PEI offers a multiple-choice quiz for each of the technical manuals we publish— all Recommended Practices and the Entry-Level Service Tech Training Course manual.

Access codes or annual test subscriptions are available at www.pei.org/tests

After making a purchase your Order Confirmation will be sent via email and includes your test access code. This code is required to  take a test and must be entered exactly as it appears on the confirmation.

PEI’s Recommended Practices and the Service Tech Training Course manual are fulfilled through our partners at Techstreet. Corporate membership types have different requirements than the Operations & Engineering membership for individuals. Go to O&E Membership

Eligibility requires that your company…

  1. Have a business interest in petroleum marketing equipment as a manufacturer, distributor, installar, service contractor, manufacturers representative, export manager, etc.
  2. Have been in business for at least a year as a corporation, partnership or proprietorship.
  3. Must be sponsored by at least one current PEI member company.

Additionally, each corporate membership category has specific requirements. Go to Corporate Membership Divisions

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS TO GOVERNMENT REGULATORS?2022-06-27T19:12:09+00:00

Yes.

We offer government regulators the discounted member price on our Recommended Practices manuals. To order at the discounted rate please contact us and include your organization, role and work* email address. We will respond with the necessary details.

Registration for some PEI conferences and events are also available at a discount or complimentary rate. For details on these discounts contact our registration team at registrations@pei.org.

* We use your email address domain to validate employment with a governmental agency. Personal or free email accounts (Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail) are not valid for this discount. 

WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?2022-06-27T19:12:20+00:00

You and your mentor/mentee determine the time commitment based on your goals for the year.

Participation in CONNECT is intended to last 12 months, starting when the mentor and mentee initiate their agreement. 

It is important that you engage in consistent communication. Interaction at one hour, once a month is recommended.

No. 

The experience level of Mentors will vary. We encourage Mentors of all experience levels to apply. Remember you can be a mentor and a mentee.

The CONNECT program is designed for long-distance mentoring partnerships. We know that it is often not feasible for a Mentee to find a Mentor in their geographic area; although you can search for mentors by location if you wish.

Connect is the PEI mentoring program intended to provide an association-based initiative where less experienced members may develop one-on-one relationships with more experienced members to learn about the industry, develop business skills, and set other individualized career goals.   

There is no cost for participating.

Members in the Affiliate, Distributor and Service & Construction categories can add a branch location to their profile. The listing must use the same company name as your primary membership and can be included in the PEI Directory (online and print) for only $75 per year.

If you are the Primary Contact, Company Manager or Web Administrator, you can log in (see above) and click on Company Profile. Then click Edit Company and/or Manage Roster.

Most mailings and invoices from PEI will include your PEI member ID. Check the upper right-hand corner of the address label.

If you cannot locate it, contact us with your company name, location, etc.

Member pricing and registration rates require you log in using your PEI member user account.

If you’re ordering Recommended Practices you’ll be receiving your documents from our partners at Techstreet. Members will need to follow these steps to receive their discount:

  3. Add to cart and create a Techstreet account or log in.

PEI accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards. eCheck or ACH is also available but requires adding a stored payment to your profile. All online payments are secured with 128-bit SSL encryption.

Payment can also be made by EFT/wire transfer. Payment by check is also accepted for mail or fax orders.

PEI holds its annual convention in conjunction with the NACS show exposition. Your registration admits you to the exposition as well as to most PEI convention functions.

NACS Show exhibitors must register with NACS. Otherwise you will not be able to use your booth’s allotment of complimentary badges.

WHAT IS PEI’S CANCELLATION POLICY?2022-06-27T19:19:52+00:00

Event registration cancellations must be submitted in writing at least 30 days before the event start date. After then the full amount of the registration fee will be forfeited. All cancellations will be assessed a $25 administrative fee. A registration can be transferred to another person in your company at no cost.

Please note that Group Discount registrations cannot be refunded at anytime.

No. PEI does not publish any non-English documents or offer translation services. We do provide a translate feature for our web pages (see the bottom footer). For sending correspondence, we recommend using Google Translate and/or the translate feature of Gmail.

PEI has grown to include more than 1,600 companies around the world, in all 50 states and 81 territories and countries.

Membership is open to companies that primarily manufacture, distribute or service petroleum marketing and liquid-handling equipment. To begin the application process complete this online form.

Also, those individuals employed by a company that stores, transports, meters or dispenses petroleum products are eligible for membership in the O&E division.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO JOIN PEI?2022-08-30T22:00:40+00:00

Annual corporate membership dues for all four divisions — distributor, service & construction, manufacturer or affiliate — are based on gross annual sales in the petroleum equipment industry.

Minimum annual dues start at $455 and are determined by annual sales revenue. The first year’s dues are required with the membership application and the second year is prorated depending on the date of the application.
