Since its founding, PEI has periodically conducted industry surveys on a variety of subjects, such as service rates, sales compensation, minimum invoicing policies, vacation and holiday policies, underground storage tank performance, executive compensation, carwash equipment, and more.

These surveys are generally prompted by members' inquiries and the results are tabulated and published to inform the industry.
